This is ostensibly a children's book, and I probably read it years ago in English as a kid. But now that I'm teaching myself to read Italian, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it again, in the original language. I could just imagine the author reading aloud to an audience of enraptured children. Along with the adventures of Pinocchio, they absorbed some propaganda about the importance of studying, being honest, working hard, etc. Reading this on a Kindle makes it a pleasure to look up the meanings of words and makes it accessible even to a beginning reader of Italian like me.

I really liked and had great time reading it.
My daughter writes the drawings were wierd but other than that it was pretty good.He got stuck in a fish like giona (Jonah) from the bible
The English version of the story is what we're most familiar with, but to read it in its original language just brings more insight and meaning to "Pine Eye" - the boy made of wood.
For those studying Italian this is a great book to read as we know the story in English and the Italian isn't too hard to understand.
Too many typos in this edition which has not been reviewed and compared with the original by the editor. Moreover, pictures are poorly scanned and rendere, so the main reason to get this edition over the many that you can find around in the net is void. **** OFC THIS REVIEW IS NOT FOR THE CONTENT THAT IS A 5 STAR ONE IT'S FOR THIS VERY EDITION **** shame on the editor!
